Personal: I grew up in a country environment with a loving mother and father that have been married for 40 years. My dad, taught me at an early age about nature. My first time fishing, my dad took me to Smallwood State Park in Marbury, MD. My first fish was a 6 pound catfish. It was a joy for a 6 year old to see nature and the wonders of it around me. I instantly fell in love with fishing. I spent many days with my father bottom fishing The Lower Potomac and Chesapeake Bay for spot, white perch, stripers, and croaker. Once I learned how to drive, I spent time at Smallwood State Park learning how to fish for Largemouth bass. I was a little frustrated at first but I learned that fishing is like a puzzle. I needed to piece it together. Now at 32 years old I am an avid tournament angler that fishes 100 days a year. I have placed in the Top 25 in the Wal-Mart BFL Bass Tournaments and also have placed in the Top 15 fishing the US Anglers Choice Tournaments. I feel that my strongpoint is fishing for bass with soft stickbaits, topwater baits, jigs, and shallow crankbaits. I also love to use the old standard Texas-rigged worm. CB’s Hawg Sauce has helped me feel fish longer and set hooks greater because fish hold on to the baits especially my senko-style baits. But don’t limit the sauce to freshwater because I’ve had great luck on stripers too. Get your “Sauce” at www.cbshawgsauce.com. Fish Harder Companies has improved my fishing my giving me quality tackle that allows me too have the extra edge in competitive bass fishing. They offer jigs, weights, worms, hooks, swimbaits, hollow-body frogs, and inchi-wacky hooks. Fish Harder can be visited @ www.fishharderco.com; Fish Stanley has always created my favorite spinnerbaits and jigs so I was excited to be on their pro-staff. They offer swimbaits for saltwater or freshwater, jigs--(finesse and power), and spinnerbaits.I would never be caught without a jig on the river systems without a jig from Fish Stanley. My favorite is a 3/8 oz. Blk /Blue. They can be visited at www.fishstanley.com. There may be times I cannot match those spring time or summer time craws. It may be hard to find that matching color, well give my friend Doug Ruplinger owner of Hawg Thrasher Jigs a call. He will customize your jig with or without rattles with any color to your liking. They offer Great prices and great service with one on one personalization. Visit him @ www.myspace.com/hawgthrasherjigs. My favorite area to fish is the Potomac River because of the diversity of the fishery. I also have a strong background in saltwater fishing for stripers, bluefish, grey trout, and croakers. I like the fact that it is a brackish waterway so you can catch redfish and stripers also too if your lucky. I love to fish Lake Anna, the Rappahannock, River, and the Potomac River. I will be fishing the Wal-Mart BFL Northeast division, and the Bassmasters Weekend Series which is my major focus.
