What size bass do you guys think should be large enough to be considered a trophy?

In Delaware, anything over 5 pounds is considered a trophy, but in my case, I would say that if it is over 7 pounds, then it's a trophy, and anything else is just considered "Really Big" . But if you took an average of the entire country, it would be 10 pounds. But a trophy class bass is generally anything over 5 pounds for a "Northern Starin", 10 Pounds for a "Florida" Strain" . Now if you considered Smallmouth Bass in the equation, then they would be 3 pounds and up as a trophy, but In my mind, they would need to be above 5 pounds also.

i am so lucky to be able to fish private maryland farm ponds and catch 20 plus 5 pound fish per year so to me a trophy is a fish weighing over my previous best. so around 10 pounds.

but out of a pressured lake even a 5 pound fish is a good fish in my mind

like steve said 5 pounds is a trophy or "citation" fish.
