I want to get side imaging transduecer installed for my HDS 8 but do not trust myself to drill into my hull or jack plate. I have used Shorts marine for my engine but want someone who deals with bass boats more to do my electronics. I have seen Links marine but have not talked to anyone with experience with them. Any others that I should think about? I wish we could get a Ranger dealer around here. Thanks, Jason. Does Basspro do good work?

Do you recommend Links for engine repairs to?  My 98 Johnson Venom 200 needs work. Water got into the oil and really screwed it up last year.  Got an estimate from Links for about $5000 to repair and rebuild.  If they do good work I will probably let them do it in a few months.  Im also wondering if I could find a used motor for cheaper? It really hurts not being able to get out on the water..:(

You could probaly find another 200 for about 3-5K, but then could have problems that would need to be repaired. ? It is probably better to rebuild it, or buy a new smaller one as they are more powerful and more fuel efficient. Maybe just finance about 3,000?

Thats true.  It does suck up some gas for an older engine.  Good idea!
