So I'm in the works of planning a nice little solo mission down to Orlando at the end of March and wanted to know any spots locally I could potentially shore fish or possibly rent a small boat to take out on. I already found a solid connect to take me out on Toho for the cost of gas and shiners, but I will be there 3-4 days and want to hit any and everything I am capable of while down there. If all works out, I'll be coming home with a GREAT picture and the measurements for my first bass mount (I WISH!) I've already done my research regarding the time of year and it seems I will be hitting the PERFECT timing for finding big fish. Any other suggestions for water pretty close to the city limits of Orlando and/or differences in lure selection while down there? My plan is to attack the panhandle state with a recipe for success! Thanks! -Mike

That will be very cool. You need to take some video if you can as well as pictures. I will post them on the site.

my mother's cousin (not sure what that'd make her to me? 2nd cousin?) is a little bit older but closer to my age and actually lives right in Orlando. On top of that, I've earned enough miles to get a travel credit to pay for half of my flight. Annnd the guy that's taking me out is doing so for the price of gas and shiners. I'd say I'm making out like a bandit on this trip

here's a few pics from my trip. largest bass weighed in just under 6 lbs on my lil digi scale. she felt heavier than that but still a greaaat time. caught her out of Lake Monroe which was just gorgeous. Here's the eye candy. absolutely cannot wait to go back. literally every time you turn your head down there, you see a different pond. I was in HEAVEN! also pretty fun to fish and have gators staring at ya
